My dear friends, the Full Moon in Capricorn on 30 June 2026 is one of the most powerful moments of the year, and I want you to pay attention to it. There is an illusion that this is a Full Moon of great love and contentment. In reality it has many layers and a good deal of tension, and that is precisely why I call it a last chance. A chance to organize ourselves around our feelings before we enter a more demanding period.

We are passing through perhaps the most difficult stretch of the year, and many of you write to me that nothing comes easily these days. It calls for patience. The greatest enemy of success at such moments is over-optimism, the idea that everything will sort itself out on its own. Some things will, as long as we move intelligently. And always remember that, whatever we discuss here, the picture is complete only when you read it against your own astrology chart. Otherwise we get lost in the general picture and skip over what truly matters, our personal chart.

The identity of this Full Moon

The Full Moon occurs at 8 degrees and 14 minutes of Capricorn and will affect us for roughly the next 14 days. Its core symbol is an angel holding a harp, an image of art and sensitivity that, as we will see, stands in contrast to the hard practicality of Capricorn. If you would like to confirm the exact time and the Moon’s phase for your area, you can also see it here.

This Full Moon belongs to a cycle that began as a New Moon on 31 December 2024. The first quarter occurred on 30 September 2025, the Full Moon arrives now on 30 June 2026, and the third quarter will fall on 30 March 2027. We are, in other words, at the second great, culminating stage of the cycle. Keep these dates. If something important happens now, or has already happened, it may find its resolution around 30 March 2027.

Which signs are favored and which struggle

Before we go into the details, let us look at the big picture. The greatest favor and the most opportunities go to Gemini, Aries, and Aquarius. On the other side, Cancer, Leo, and Taurus are under the most pressure and may meet some difficult situations.

Leading roles (strong influence): Cancer, Gemini, Capricorn, Aries. Of these, Gemini and Aries are favored, while Cancer and Capricorn are tested.

Secondary influence: Aquarius, Leo, Taurus, Sagittarius, Scorpio.

Minimal influence: Libra, Pisces, Virgo.

The overall center of gravity of this Full Moon is, in the end, positive. The final outcome points to growth. It is simply that the road there has a few difficult turns that are worth knowing about in advance.

Full Moon in Capricorn: a moment of emotional intensity

The Moon dominates this chart, with many unusual conditions placed upon it. We have before us two T-squares operating at once. The Sun and the Moon are in opposition and form a T-square with both Saturn and Neptune. The Saturn–Neptune midpoint falls exactly on the Sun–Moon axis. This is not easy. We are speaking of difficulties in the emotional realm, of a melancholic mood that may have no specific cause, of matters of mood that a fair number of people may begin to feel.

The essence of this picture is a lesson. Life always has doors and ways out, even when the Full Moon dazzles us with its sorrow and convinces us there is no way forward. That is the greatest risk now, to get lost in the details and believe that everything is a dead end. It is not. We are called to free ourselves from archetypes and beliefs that may have led us into a sorrow without cause.

But that is not all that comes. The Moon is out of bounds, in its Eosphoric phase, far south of the Equator. It is a position that signals emotion breaking out of control, with momentum and intensity outward. So when a Full Moon that already produces melancholy is combined with a Moon in such a heightened state, I know we can expect disturbances in the psycho-emotional sphere, with matters of mood and mistaken readings of our inner world. Matters of nutrition, the relationship with the mother, and short journeys are directly affected. Old wounds and family issues may be scratched open, ones we must learn to explain in a new way.

The chart also has a great deal of water, almost 42 to 43 percent of its total expression. This means an exaggeration in emotional response. Those of you with strong water in your chart, much Cancer, Scorpio, or Pisces, take a little more care with your reactions. At the same time, with many planets in impulsive signs, the Sun, Moon, Mercury, Jupiter, Saturn, and Neptune, feelings rise to the surface quickly and often unfiltered.

There is one further structure that explains a great deal. The chart forms a Locomotive pattern, with the Moon and Venus as its leading points. Venus is the engine that moves things, and it sits in Leo, with an intense need for acceptance, for admiration, for shining. The personal point, however, the Moon, sits in Capricorn and cares only for functionality and success. We have, in other words, a Venus trying to impress a world that has no interest whatsoever in being impressed. Together with the obsessive Venus–Pluto aspect, this creates a need for control and recognition that ultimately leads us into a small derailment.

The first aspect the Moon makes is a square to Saturn, having just left Neptune behind. When the Moon leaves Neptune and moves toward Saturn, it signals the collapse of illusions. Dreams built on sand fall apart and we come face to face with reality. And Saturn is in Aries, the sign of its fall, in a critical degree, so the handling becomes harder. Redemption exists, and it comes through Jupiter exalted in Cancer, a point we will see offering ways out.

Retrograde Mercury, Mars, and the sudden tensions

One crucial element. On 30 June 2026 Mercury turns stationary toward retrograde within Cancer. The phenomenon of retrograde Mercury begins, in other words, together with this Full Moon. This introversion makes immediate expression and understanding harder, but it also has a beneficial side. It gives us the chance to understand ourselves a little more deeply, and so we escape major mistakes. The message is simple. Do not rush to make decisions, do not rush to enter the feeling.

We also have a Full Moon with planets either at the very start or the very end of the signs. Mars enters the first degree of Gemini, Chiron the first degree of Taurus, and the North and South Nodes sit at the beginnings of the signs. All of this brings revelations and asks us to look more deeply at what is happening in our environment.

Mars is in conjunction with Alcyone, a position that can bring out anger through sorrow. At the same time the Moon connects with difficult fixed stars, which tells us that emotion will not simply emerge, it will emerge intensely. That is why care is needed so that everything is not expressed through anger. I fear this is a Full Moon that awakens rivalry and narcissistic elements, so let us protect our relationships from such traps.

There is the optimistic reading as well. Mars, Jupiter, and Uranus connect simultaneously through declination. This connection may indeed signal a sudden accident or an unpleasant event in the world, yet at the same time it brings a deus ex machina rescue. At the last moment, things do not spin entirely out of control. Moreover, Mars and Uranus are in a free zone, which means we have the ability to manage our anger and aggression and to limit accidents. Another piece of good news is that Mercury and Uranus, in a hidden conjunction, bring bright ideas that can redeem us.

And when do we breathe? We will see the first truly positive developments about 23 days later, around 23 July, when Mercury turns direct and activates the 17th degree of Cancer. From then on, many things fall into place.

Relationships, reconnections, and fated loves

Alongside all these difficulties there is also a very creative side. Jupiter’s midpoint falls on the Sun–Venus axis, so this is a Full Moon that gives birth to new relationships. The emotions, love, passion, and instinct are mobilized in many ways. We can expect significant new acquaintances and intense emotional connections.

Many of these relationships will have the character of destiny. Venus, Pluto, and Jupiter are in intense karmic bondage, which means fated relationships, relationships that challenge us and that can change the lives of many people. Such intense connections concern mainly Aries, Leo, Sagittarius, and Aquarius, as well as the first decan of Cancer, Capricorn, and Pisces.

Retrograde Mercury also brings reconnections, especially for Pisces, Virgo, Cancer, and Capricorn. But I want to be honest with you. These are not always reconnections based on something harmonious and healthy. They often rest on instinct, on the “it belongs to me” and the “I want him out of ego”, rather than on “I am well with him”. That is why care is needed in our interpersonal relationships during this period.

A deeper chart and the true message

Turning to the twelfth harmonic chart, which is particularly revealing, something important appears. There, Uranus connects the Lights instead of Saturn and Neptune. This tells us that the real cause of this melancholy and constriction is the lack of freedom. And because Uranus is in Cancer, the message becomes more specific. Dare to make a meaningful change and free yourself from beliefs that others may have wished to impose on you in the past.

At the same time, Venus, Saturn, and the North Node form an opposition. This signals karmic relationships that, if built on ideals and on hasty emotional moves, risk ending ingloriously. Everything converges on the same message. Do not rush. This Full Moon carries a strong element of emotional control and gives us a last chance to organize ourselves around our feelings without losing the boundary.

The August eclipses and the picture for the world

Everything that is sown now is expected to surface on 12 August 2026, with an eclipse that strongly mobilizes the sign of Leo, and shortly afterward with a Lunar eclipse in Pisces. This is a period of intense developments and reversals on the world stage, especially around leading figures and centers of power, which calls for composure in reading the news.

On the mundane level, the dominant midpoint is Uranus with Pluto equaling Neptune, a cosmic fog and a lack of understanding on many levels. It is followed by the Moon with the North Node equaling Pluto, an image of nations and economies being managed from underground frameworks of power. For Greece there is a small relief, since we have a nocturnal chart, which makes the Moon a little more beneficial. At the same time, however, the Lot of Passion is activated, so the wider region will feel the emotional waves of the period quite intensely.

One final positive touch. Despite its difficult placement, the Moon is in its own terms, in a condition the Arabs described as gentle. This tempers the destructive character and keeps things more under control. So it is a period of emotional pressure, but also a period that brings bright ideas, intelligent people, and opportunities for a new love.

The forecasts for the 12 signs, by decan

As always, the most accurate reading is made on the basis of your decan and pentad. If you are not sure which decan you belong to, you can find it easily with the natal chart, pentad and relocation tool. Let us see what the Full Moon brings for each one.

Aries

First decan, you are in a square to the Full Moon and feel pressure in family and professional matters, yet there are strong protective influences and many of you will pull yourselves up. It calls for more independent movement, and care with travel and journeys because of the Mars–Uranus conjunction, since there are tendencies toward accidents. Second decan, Saturn presses you, but at the same time a new love or a creation stirs you positively, with quite a few responsibilities tiring you. Third decan, luck is on your side, with new prospects at work and renewal. A completely fresh start is not favored, because of retrograde Mercury, but the expansion of an existing course is. You feel freer now that Chiron has left your sign.

Taurus

First decan, the coming days bring financial pressure and some losses, so protect your foundation. At the same time you enter a phase of professional success and growth that empowers you, while in matters of study there may be some hardships. A good moment to clear up misunderstandings. Second decan, you lay a new foundation; purchases and sales and real estate are favored, and money or an inheritance you were expecting may arrive. Saturn in your twelfth house does not let you relax, so set boundaries at work. Third decan, an excellent moment to sign a contract that had been delayed and to complete unfinished matters. Sudden money and a long-term organization of your work life.

Gemini

First decan, you may feel tension and some conflicts; keep your composure and let no one spoil your mood. It is a period of freedom, with gradual financial growth and corresponding expenses, and with successes that bring the realization of dreams. Studies are favored. Second decan, there are pressures from your social circle, but also pleasant moments with friends, siblings, and family. A moment of growth, success, and redefinition, with release from difficult people. You may have wanted faster developments, so show a little patience. Third decan, clear financial growth or money you have long awaited arrives. Retrograde Mercury in your second house asks for care, but in the end you move forward.

Cancer

First decan, you take a leading role, since the Moon is exactly opposite you and you feel the emotional intensity directly. Take care over mistakes in your interpersonal and professional relationships. You will become passionate and fall in love; make sure, though, that the new step does not bring more difficulties. Set boundaries. Second decan, many responsibilities and running about, perhaps obstacles at work and hard effort, but in return financial ways out from various areas. Third decan, this is your last chance. The Full Moon draws Jupiter’s favor for another 14 days, until around 13 July, so prospects open up. Mercury turns retrograde in your decan, so take care with contracts and signatures. Clear matters up, calm down, complete things rather than starting something new.

Leo

First decan, you gain a dynamic presence, as Chiron and Pluto activate your decan. You begin to work on yourself, find redemption, and a sense of authority for new beginnings. New company and friendships stir you positively, and you build something new with tremendous momentum. Second decan, your successes and aspirations are delayed; take care over failures, examinations, and hasty moves. You are favored, though, for a new acquaintance or relationship, as well as for some extra money. Express your talents creatively. Third decan, an important realization of a goal arrives, almost like a deus ex machina. Act creatively rather than impulsively, and a sudden joyful event may change your life for the better.

Virgo

With this Full Moon you are among the signs least affected. First decan, there are intense changes in work matters, with Mars and Uranus bringing tension and a sense of lost control. It is also a moment, however, when you set your goals in order and make a fresh start, as long as you move away from toxic people. A new relationship may form, but it is a little problematic. Second decan, pressure from the finances of others; take care over inheritances or legal matters. At work, though, a solution you were waiting for arrives, and with it a fresh start through some losses. Third decan, a sudden acquaintance or reconnection is much favored, while an important agreement helps you build something you wanted. Just consider whether the old relationship is worth it.

Libra

First decan, in your relationship things do not flow easily, with some crises and disappointments. It is a moment, though, when you free yourself from toxic people and feel determined to do new things. A dream gradually becomes reality. Professional matters are favored, although at home you may go through a difficult situation. Second decan, disappointments in interpersonal matters, perhaps the interruption of some partnerships, but also new social contacts that bring a beginning and a new love. Third decan, an important professional achievement that had been delayed finally begins to move forward. You feel redemption and confidence, with long-term favor leading you to the work success you seek.

Scorpio

First decan, some things move with difficulty in investments or in matters of wills and inheritance. The period vindicates you, though, and leads you swiftly to a new course, exactly where you will shine. You free yourself from difficult situations, old relationships you do not want may appear, and a period of deep healing begins. Second decan, quite a lot of hardship and overwork at your job, but also a fantastic opportunity to move forward dynamically and be vindicated. Give a little more care to your daily life. Third decan, an important dream you have long been working on is realized and brings you recognition and the achievement of goals. A sudden fated love, with its own complications, may also await you.

Sagittarius

First decan, you stand before a demanding period, with tensions, separations, or conflicts with loved ones. From there, though, you draw strength for something new and you pursue your vision. Financially there will be losses, but later things improve, I promise you. Second decan, your joy may dip a little, but you move dynamically toward new creative goals. You may distance yourself from a child of yours, or let it spread its wings. You broaden your educational horizons, which for many means new studies. Third decan, money you have long awaited arrives, perhaps after an injustice, and your confidence rises. You feel ready for a fresh start and return to something that was better.

Capricorn

First decan, there are difficulties in family matters, since the square of the Sun, the Moon, and Neptune, together with Saturn’s midpoint, falls in your decan. Interpersonal relationships are tested and there is a disappointment, but also redemption. The Mars–Uranus conjunction brings tensions at work, but together with them vindication, victory, and success through struggle. You will make money, and that matters to you. Second decan, many responsibilities and pressure; the family environment may not cover you emotionally. Love yourself a little more. Money comes into your pocket, and a sudden fated relationship may form. Third decan, a reconnection or new acquaintance reminds you of something old, and a partnership you were waiting for is completed. Don’t take new risks, complete what you have begun, because retrograde Mercury opposite you punishes haste.

Aquarius

First decan, with strength and determination you move toward something very important. It is the moment of success, of ascent, and of completion. Sudden loves knock at your door with passion and intensity, while there is care to take over a sudden pregnancy. You have control, money, and healing from toxic situations of the past, with some work overload that is needed. Second decan, there is a lack of understanding with some people, perhaps siblings, with a sense of harshness in contact. You are vindicated for a job, though, a sudden relationship lifts your mood, and a partnership brings money. Third decan, professional recognition arrives for something you have worked on for a long time. It is not a new beginning, it is the completion of a goal. You come out a winner, with an increase in your income.

Pisces

First decan, there may be skirmishes or even damage within the home that cost you time and nerves. It is a moment of greater growth and prospect, though, that helps you make decisions you have been waiting to make. You meet your destiny, on condition that you do not rush, because haste brings errors. Second decan, opportunities arrive in work matters that redeem you and push you forward with new prospects. Financially things are still pressing, but the gradual work success will subsequently bring money too. Third decan, a love comes to your door, perhaps together with a professional success, and it may be an old or a new relationship. Intense creativity, favor for having children, and the sense that you are breaking out of prison and realizing a goal you had long been waiting for.
