The Full Moon in Aquarius of 29 July 2026 is not one of those lunations that passes quietly. It activates Jupiter and Pluto at the same time, which is to say the two planets most directly associated in astrological tradition with wealth, force, expansion and control. When those two face each other across the Leo and Aquarius axis, the questions that open up have to do with how far we are willing to go to get what we want.

Let me say the important part first, because it is the heart of this chart. This Full Moon gives. It gives money, opportunity, love, success. The question it hides is not whether you will receive. It is what you will hand over in exchange, and whether the exchange is worth it.

The chart: exact time and positions

The Full Moon perfects on 29 July 2026 at 14:36 UT, with the Sun at 6 degrees and 30 minutes of Leo and the Moon in the same degree of Aquarius. That is 10:36 in the morning US Eastern time, 15:36 in London and 17:36 in Athens.

The Sun is conjunct Jupiter with an orb of just 4 minutes of arc. In practice they occupy the same degree. Together they oppose Pluto, while the Moon sits on Pluto with an orb of 2 degrees and 17 minutes. So we do not have a Full Moon with Jupiter and Pluto somewhere in the background. We have them at the centre of the stage.

Jupiter with Pluto is the signature of large capital. Historically it speaks of the concentration of wealth, of major investment, of resources changing hands, of people who rise very high and people who lose everything on the same bend in the road. It speaks of business openings and development policy. It also speaks, and I would be dishonest to leave this out, of profiteering.

Collectively I expect games of control over vital resources, not only across the wider Mediterranean but internationally. Personally, if you are moving in investments or handling sums that sit outside your ordinary life, this is a period that asks for unusual care. Where a great deal of money is in play, a great deal of interest is in play too.

The hidden Mars and Pluto opposition

There is an element in this chart that will not show up if you only look at the zodiac wheel, because it is not an aspect in longitude but in declination. Mars stands at 23 degrees and 13 minutes north, Pluto at 23 degrees and 21 minutes south. That is a contraparallel with an orb of 8 minutes of arc, in other words a concealed Mars and Pluto opposition, and one as exact as we rarely see.

This is what gives the lunation its harder face. Mars with Pluto means pressure, coercive dilemmas, violent developments, upheavals that come from below rather than from above. It also means extraordinary capacity for survival and for breaking through, if a person knows how to use it. In the same register, the Moon is contraparallel Uranus with an orb of 19 minutes, which adds sudden emotional turbulence and reversals we do not get time to process.

Venus square Mars: desire and its constraints

Venus at 21 degrees and 33 minutes of Virgo squares Mars at 21 degrees and 26 minutes of Gemini. The orb is 7 minutes of arc, which is as close to perfect as an aspect gets. This square falls on the third decan of the mutable signs, Gemini, Virgo, Sagittarius and Pisces, and particularly on degrees 19 to 24.

It brings love and desire, but it brings them with tension, haste and a setting that can feel like hostage-taking. Venus in Virgo has a very particular way of asking: is what you want actually useful to you? Does it fill you, or does it merely occupy you? In the same pattern, Venus is parallel Saturn with an orb of one minute, which brings realism and commitment, and also a cool awareness of cost in matters of the heart.

Uranus and Neptune: the way out

If the Jupiter and Pluto axis is the pressure, Uranus and Neptune are the release valve. Uranus at 4 degrees and 55 minutes of Gemini sextiles the Sun and Jupiter and trines the Moon and Pluto. Neptune at 4 degrees and 17 minutes of Aries trines the Sun and Jupiter and sextiles both Pluto and Uranus.

In practice this means there is a road out. The pressure is not sealed. The solutions that work over this period will be ones nobody saw coming, arriving through people or circumstances outside the plan, and they will require you to change direction without having scheduled it. Mercury, now moving direct through Cancer, also helps resolve conflicts and unlock conversations that had stalled.

Who feels the Full Moon in Aquarius most

The first decan of every sign is engaged, meaning anyone with planets or angles between 0 and 9 degrees 59 minutes. The real intensity, however, gathers on the fixed cross: Taurus, Leo, Scorpio and Aquarius.

I have insisted on decans and on five degree bands for years, and the reason is simple. Without them we would be speaking at a level of generality where it would be better to say nothing at all.

The shadow of this lunation: greed and the loss of measure

Allow me to linger here longer than I usually would, because I consider this the substantial part of the Full Moon. Jupiter with Pluto across the Leo and Aquarius axis, with the Moon sitting on Pluto, generates one very specific psychological pattern: the loss of measure.

Someone wins five thousand and it is not enough. He wants ten. He gets the ten and wants a hundred. He gets the hundred and wants the million. And not only does the million never arrive, he loses the hundred as well. Exactly the same pattern exists in love. I could do better, we say. Yes, there will always be someone more attractive, there will always be something better. And that is precisely the source of unhappiness, because the point was never the better option. The point is being satisfied with what you actually have.

I have seen at close range what this pattern does to people. I remember a call from a man who was in tears, telling me he was ruined, that he had lost his house at the tables.
